So, you can see there are all the main tokens to trade, along with several thousand of other financial instruments. Anyone can trade these assets with a trading account and minimal deposit of 200$.

One thing to remember is that Admiral Markets is highly regulated broker and under EU law it could give 1:30 forex leverage and 1:2 crypto leverage for retail traders.

Another valuable addition to Admiral Markets is invest accounts. These accounts do not have trading leverage, but has much lower commissions and spreads on stocks and CFDs. Admiral Invest accounts are created for periodical investments into hedge funds and stocks.

Trading platforms

Admiral Markets is Metatrader broker and offers MetaTrader 4, Metatrader 5, desktop and online versions along with MT4 and MT5 supreme editions plugins for desktop. For those who are not familiar with MT4 or MT5 it is trading platform for retail traders that support automated trading called Expert Advisors.

Supreme edition let’s Admiral Markets to stand out among other Metatrader brokers. This plugin gives traders access to expert advisor and custom indicators. Also, there are other useful add-ons as economic calendar, spread widget and others. For that reason supreme edition could ease trader life a lot and most important part is that it is free for all registered Admiral Markets customers.

Spreads and fees

As for deposit and withdrawals Admiral Markets has free options. First of all, you can deposit for free via bank transfer, Debit or Credit card, Klarna, iDEAL, other deposit options as Neteller, Skrill requires 0.9% commission. As for withdrawals 2 free withdrawal requests to bank account are given every month, with no minimum amount. Although these conditions may vary from country to country.

Furthermore, trading spreads are fluctuating, for crypto-fiat and cross-crypto pairs is around 1% which is rather normal for margin trading accounts. One thing that should be considered are swaps, they are paid 24-hourly and are +10 pips for short and -30 pips for long orders. Consequently, swaps could decrease profits a lot if you are holding crypto for a long period of time. Never choose margin account for holding crypto.

Security and regulations

Admiral Markets consist of several firms, they are registered in United Kingdom, Estonia, Cyprus and Australia. All of them are regulated by local financial authorities and those based in Europe are regulated by EU law also. For me this is as secure as trading broker gets.

Finally, we’ve talked about crypto trading in Admiral Markets a lot already, so this segment is to draw a conclusion for those who are looking for a trading broker. Here are the main trading metrics for this broker:

  • Spreads: Floating from 1%

  • Swaps paid 24-hourly: Long -10 Short +30
  • Trading leverage: 1:2 retail, 1:5 professional
  • Crypto CFD trading: Yes
  • Real Crypto trading: No

So, what makes Admiral Markets to stand out among other forex brokers in terms of crypto trading? Firstly, it’s the amount of pairs you can trade, then supreme MT4 MT5 add-on, Trading Central support, free deposits and free withdrawals, high security regulations.

What are the drawbacks? Low leverages, high swaps for long positions.

My Conclusion

All in all I tested this platform for several weeks and in my opinion it rather good. Order execution is fast, MT4 platform is super easy to use once you master it, deposits and withdrawals are executed quickly.

Customer support were helpful all the documents were approved almost immediately and call center employees even called me on several occasions to welcome and help with setting my trading account.

I am more than satisfied with overall experience with Admiral Markets and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a reliable broker to trade crypto and much more other financial instruments.

I haven’t tested any expert adviser yet but I guess the review of MT4 expert advisers are coming soon.
